This allows the community to assess the buildings prior to construction, and gives them a full and interactive role in defining the style, function and detailing of the finished building.
2D and 3D plans and visualisations are also used to train craftsmen and women in new construction techniques and the use of new materials. This allows ATA to develop the capabilities of local communities to develop new skills and to use these to further develop their homes and villages. This is particularly important in certain mountain areas where seasonal migratory labour is an increasing part of the local economy.
